Russ is a graduate student in the Medical Engineering and Medical Physics (HST MEMP PhD) program from Singapore. He enjoys films, concerts, video games and comedies as well as the process of testing out new ingredients and recipes in his cooking.

Yuexuan was born in China and graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2018. He is now a PhD student in Department of the Chemical Engineering, working on the microbial production of natural products. He enjoys reading, sailing and programming in his spare time.

Molly is a master’s student in architecture. You can find her cooking in the kitchen, planning new DIY events, being crazy or oddly calm about her thesis, giving up learning swimming, Kungfu, or K-pop, and wandering around Newbury and downtown.

Kexin is a Ph.D. student in physics from China, studying the exotic properties of some novel quantum materials. A travel maniac, rational thinker, and art lover, she finds joy in both order (a balanced balance sheet) and disorder (homeless for a night in Rome) in her life.

Andrew is a PhD student in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program. On weekends, you can find him doing astronomy outreach, sailing, or visiting old bookstores. His goal here is to make 70 Amherst one of the best parts of your MIT experience.

Jerik Cruz is a PhD candidate whose disciplinary interests span political science, economics, and computational social science. A former advocacy strategist from the Philippines, his past lives also include being a (failed) documentary filmmaker, and (failed) science fantasy writer.

Elena is a Ph.D. Candidate in DMSE working on developing new alloys for nuclear environments. She is originally from Spain so you’ll find her happy when the sun appears in Boston. She enjoys painting, tennis, and cooking.
Preet Patel

Preet is a SM + PhD student at MIT Media Lab working on developing novel neural interfaces. His research lies at the intersection of Electrical Engineering and Neuroscience. He is originally from India and did his undergraduate degree at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Apart from research, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing sports mainly badminton and squash, and working out.
